Ramadan Bags Distribution
Before the advent of Ramadan 2021, Amreyah Cement (InterCement #Egypt) launched its “Bags of Goodness” campaign as another initiative from Amreyah Cement Co to give back to its communities in Alexandria and Behira.
Our employees have volunteered to prepare more than 2,200 Ramadan bags for families living in marginalized areas across Alexandria and Behira communities.
The project that took less than 10 days of preparation has encompassed:
- Working with small-sized retailers in Borg El Arab area (adjacent to our plant) to source the materials to be included in the bags
- 100+ volunteers from our employees who packaged the bags
- 700 bags distributed among our third-party employees
- 1500 bags distributed among those residing in impoverished villages in Behira governorate
- 5 of our top clients in Behira market acted as guides to our Sales team while distributing the bags to ensure that they get delivered to those in need.
Anti FGM Webinar
Amreyah Cement, in cooperation with Ashoka Arab World and the Association of Development and Enhancement of Women (ADEW), have organized a panel discussion on the dangers of FGM to aware raise awareness among families of Amreyah Cement employees & stakeholders.
Based on the strong commitment and social responsibility that Amreyah Cement Co has towards its employees and community, the company decided to organize this session. The aim is to create awareness among the families of the employees and of the community, especially mothers and their daughters, of the seriousness of FGM.
Amreyah Cement and Ashoka Arab World chose the Association of Development and Enhancement of Women (ADEW) to coordinate and organize this event.

Day of Doing Good 2020
During its annual Day of Doing Good (DODG) 2020, Amreyah Cement paid homage to the educational sector, since the schooling system has been affected immensely with the upheavals of COVID-19.
On November 3rd 2020, Amreyah celebrated its DODG at Az Zahraa Secondary School for Girls in Borg El Arab, with distinguished guests from Amreyah Management Team, volunteers, along with representatives from the school, educational directorate in Borg El Arab, and Mr. Youssef El Deeb, Deputy Minister of Education in Alexandria to celebrate the following achievements:
Providing civil work for some areas including the establishment of an isolation room for Covid19 suspected cases.
Equipping school theatre with essential tools, such as: Sound System, Projector, Chairs & ACs.
Providing sterilization cabinet and infra-red thermometer.
Spreading precautionary signs about Covid19 inside the school hallways to create awareness about the pandemic.
Facilitating an awareness session about precautionary measures for Covid19 for School Staff and Top Students who could act as guides among their schoolmates.
